Notes for Eugene Chester Forbes: From Eugene Forbes, we learned that his dad retired from the Cotton Mill and moved to Clay County. The family lived in Millerville, Talladega, Alex City and Birmingham. Eugene remembered his dad talking about the trip west in the covered wagon. It seems Chester decided to give his dad's chewing tobacco a try and got very sick. Granpa said there wasn't enough for both of them anyway.
