When I began my research on the Foreman family, I was only interested in a program that would allow me to put my childrens direct ancestors into a database. I had no idea the importance of the Foreman family within the Cherokee Nation. During my research I realized the wealth of important information about this family. I decided to document everything and have it available for future generations.
In any research, there may be corrections or errors that need to be made. If you find any changes, please contact me.
The surname FOREMAN comes originally from the Germanic word, fuhrman, which refers to a "pig herder". It can also mean an "ox team driver" or a teamster. In English it refers to the man who is boss on a jobsite.
I would especially like to express my gratitude to the family members, and the new family members that I have met via the Internet and e-mail and their assistance in my research. Without their help and advise this work would not have been as complete.
