| I am researching the FORT family who originated, we believe in the Texarkana, Arkansas area.We are the descendants of Baker and Katie Fort.Unfortunately, we have no records that precede them.They had two son's Robert Cellus Fort and Silvester Fort.Robert married Seaoney (Winters) Fort who had two sons, Mathis Fort (my grandfather) and Seaoney Fort.Robert also had four other children by Pinky Fort his second wife.We are alsodirect descendants of the Winters, Lockhearts, and Ellis families. In addition I am researching the BENSON family who lived in the same area.Wash Benson had a son named Sloan (my great-grandfather). Any information that you may have, will be appreciated.
