M. F. Gudger Deed To E. Holt No. 114-7-2 Georgia Gilmer County. This indenture made this eighth day of July in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty between Marcus F. Gudger of the county and State aforesaid of the one part and Elijah Holt of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth that the said M. F. Gudger for and In consideration of the sum of twenty two dollars and 50 cents to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the acceptance hereafter hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and _______ by these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Elijah Holt his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county of Gilmer & State aforesaid. Known and distinguished in the plat of survey by Lot number One hundred and fourteen (114) in the seventh district & second section of originally Cherokee but now said County of Gilmer. To have and to hold said tract or parcel of land unto him the said Elijah Holt his heirs assigns together with all and singular the rights members and apperanctances thereof to the same in any manner belonging to him and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple. And the said Marcus F. Gudger for himself his heirs executors and administrators the said bargained premises warrant to said Elijah Holt his heirs & assigns will warrant land forever defend the right and title thereof against themselves and against the claim of all other persons whatever.
