Johnston & Gudger Deed To William Gudger No. 208-11-2 GEORGIA, GILMER COUNTY, This indenture made and entered into this the Twelfth day of Jan in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and Forty Seven between Benjamin Johnston and James G. Gudger of the one part and William Gudger of the other part, all of the county of Gilmer and State of Georgia. Witnesseth that the said Benjamin and James G. for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred forty dollars to them in hand paid by the said William Gudger at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these presence do hereby bargain and convey unto the said William Gudger his heirs and assigns all that tract or lot of land situated lying and being in the eleventh district of the second section of formerly Cherokee now Gilmer County and known as _______ _______ in the plan of said district by Lot No 208 number two hundred and eight. To have and to hold the aforesaid bargained presence unto him this said William Gudger his heirs and assigns together with all and singular their rights and appurtenances thereof to the same in any manner belonging to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever fee simple and this said Benjamin Johnston and James G. Gudger for their heirs, executors and administrators and assigns the said bargained premises unto him the said William Gudger his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend the title of said and against themselves and against the claims of all other persons whatsoever claiming the same.
