James Andrews name first appears on Old Rappahannock County, Virginia records in 1670 when he bought 132.75 acres of land on the south side of the Rappahannock River near the Occupacia Creek. In 1674 he and Nicolis Copeland received a grant of 567 more acres in the same vicinity. This land was in what is not known as St. Ann's Parish. The next appearance of his name on the records was Dec 4 1684 when administration of his estate was granted to his widow, Elizabeth.
The previous information also contained in the book "First Families of Henry County, Georgia". Page 30, under James Andrews. This book also indicates that There was only one child, John, and that thre may have been a daughter, Elizabeth.
