| Welcome to the "Texas Foster Families" genealogy page. There are many Fosters in Texas. While we call ourselves the Texas Foster families, we certainly know you are there. Our efforts are to simply unite the descendants of Thomas Jefferson Foster who lived in Linden, Texas in the mid 1800's. He had twenty four children. We don't know for sure exactly how many descendants T.J. Foster has today, however my father James Thomas Foster (B: March 24, 1940 Plainview texas) estimates over ten thousand descendants to date including Children to Gr,Gr,Gr,Gr,Grandchildren. We welcome your input and e-mails contributing to the names, locations and relative dates on T.J.'s descendants. All surnames related to Thomas Jefferson Foster are important to us. Another very important name in our Foster Families of Texas is Ambrose Foster noted for his membership at Lonesome Dove Baptist Church. These two Brothers left from Flat Creek, Tennessee in the early to mid 1800's. Ambrose went to Alabama then to Missouri and then to Texas while Thomas Jefferson (his younger brother) went through Alabama, Mississippi and then to Texas. These two brothers have populated the Great State of Texas with too many descendants to number. We can always try! I would imagine that there are more than 30,000 descendants to be listed stemming from just these two brothers. While that is amazing, they had 6 brothers and 6 sisters. We welcome all descendants of these two distinguished Fosters as well as any others who want to contribute to the where-abouts of any related Fosters. Welcome to the Texas Foster Families Web-Site. |
