The main families we are researching are:

Fosh 18th Century East London & Fouache 17th Century France
Reed 18th Century Hertfordshire
Salt 18th Century Staffordshire
Ross 19th Century Westminster, Edinburgh & Scotland. Whilst John Ross & Sarah Calder are the parents of James Ross, a hotel waiter, born Aboyne 1804, it has not yet been proved that James is the father of William Ross (Barbara's great-grandfather), born about 1823 in Edinburgh, although James is the father of James (McDonald?) Ross, a boot closer, born Edinburgh who was living with William in 1851 and stated to be his brother.
