Stephen was born 5 lbs 14 ozs at about 9 am at St Joseph Hospital, Georgetown , British Guiana Stephen as a child always wanted to be an Engineer. When his parents left British Guiana and returned to Barbados in the earl 1960 Stephen went to Lodge School in Barbados. He then left Barbados in September 1969 to work in Huddersfield England doing an apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering at David Brown Gear Industry, Huddersfield, England.
After completing University in Huddersfield, Stephen returned to Barbados to work at Roberts Manufacturing as the Chief Engineer. He left Roberts Manufacturing in 1981 and emigrated to Toronto, Canada.
Stephen met his wife Barbara in the same apartment building which he was staying in when he first moved to Canada. Barbara was the girl next door. Stephen and Barbara purchased their first home at 43 Titmouse Court, Hamilton Ontario. They lived in this home until Anthony Foster was to be born. They moved into 4504 Green Meadow Blvd, Beamsville, Ontario on the day Anthony was born.
Stephen worked at Bird Archer as a Sales Technician in Water Treatment and then moved to Miura Boiler as their Ontario Sales Manager before leaving. Before leaving Miura Boiler Stephen went to Japan twice to visit the parent company.
Stephen then decided to start his own company which was called S.F Thermal Systems in 1995. This was then changed to S.P. Thermal Systems Inc. after one year Stephen business is selling of Industrial Boilers and Water Treatment Chemicals. S.P. Thermal Systems represents Indeck (Volcano Boiler) and Hurst Boiler The company also purchases chemicals from Jacklyn Industries for boiler and cooling systems.
