The Forster Family originally were from Ireland, and England. The Forster in which I am from, arrived in Barbados around 1675 to 1750. My Grand Father Ivan Thomas Forster changed the name of Forster to Foster around 1900. The family of Ivan Thomas Foster grew up at Chimborazo Great House in St Joseph, Barbados. Chimborazo name still remains on the map of Barbados. My father Clarence Gordon Foster, went to British Guiana where he met and married his wife Shelia Celine Newsam and they had five children. The children are, Anthony Foster, Stephen Foster, Christine Foster, Jeannine Foster and Ronald Foster. Anthony died in British Guiana in 1957 and Ronald died in Barbados in a car accident in 1968. Stephen and Christine now live in Ontario, Canada and my sister Jeannine still lives with her family in Barbados. We are still researching the history of the "Forster" who arrived in Barbados in 1600 - 1700 period and would be happy to share any details with those of similar interest.
