Obituary of Ellis Morrow, Asheville Citizen, 1-17-1978:
"Ellis Morrow, 92, of 78 Lookout Road, died Sunday in an Asheville hospital after a brief illness.
He was a retired carpenter and was a native of Yancey County. He had lived in Buncombe County since 1905.
Surviving are his wife, Lillie T. Morrow; a son, Eugene Morrow of Atlanta, Ga; three brothers, Lyda Morrow of Asheville, Freeman Morrow of Marion, Ind., and Lewis Morrow of Detroit, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Dealia Bennett of Erwin, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Richland Baptist Church, of which he was a member. The Revs. Glenn Callahan and James Gardner will officiate. Burial will be in Asheland Gardens of Memory.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Williams Funeral Service, where the body will remain until placed in the church an hour before services."

"WOODFIN - Lillie Mae Townsend Morrow, 102, of 78 Lookout Road, died Sunday, May 18, 1997 in a local nursing home.
A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Townsend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Morrow, who died Jan. 16, 1978. She was a member of the Richland Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Eugene "Gene" Morrow of Gainesville, Ga.; sister, Agnes Burleson of Woodfin; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Richland Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Gassaway officiating. Interment will follow at Ashelawn Gardens of memory.
The family will receive friends 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Service. At other times, the family will be at 78 Lookout Road."
