Left Bremen, Germany on February 2nd, 1899 and arrived in Baltimore, Maryland, on February 16, 2899 on ship 'Do not remember'. Declare his intention on 27th of November, 1922 in Pittsburgh, Pa, District Court, in the United States. I am a widower and have 6 children: Bronislawa (7/7/1903); Sophia (6/22/1905); Stephan (9/2/1909); Thaddeus (8/5/1911); Andrew (11/27/1916); and Gertrude (11/15/1918). Residing continuously in the United States from 16th February 1899 and in Pennsylvania on 17th of February 1899. Two petitioners and witness listed are John R Pietrak, Laborer, Pittsburgh and Val E. Woznia, P.O Clerk. Second page Order of Court Admitting Petitioner: dated 5/31/1928 and stamped admitted act June 9. 1928 and List No. 346A. (This is not all the exact wording but most of the filled in information on the form. Second form: Declaration of Intention: I, John Broniecki, aged 48 years, occupation Laborer, do declare on oat that my personal description is: Color: White; Complexion: Fair; Height: 6 feet 0 inches; weight 175 pounds, Color of Hair: Blonde; Color of eyes: Blue and other visible distinctive marks: none. I was born in Srensk, Poland on 7th of November 1880. I now reside at 53 Hold Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I emigrated to the USA from Bremen Germany on vessel: Do not remember. My last foreign residence was Srensk Poland. I am married; the name of my wife is Marcella; she was born in Poland and now resides with me. It is my bona fide intention to renounce forever all allegiances and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, and particularly to The Republic of Poland, of whom I am now a subject. I arrived at the port of Baltimore, in the State of Maryland on or about 2nd day of February 1899.... signed and dated 27th day of November 1922. ~1930 CENSUS: John, age 50 and second wife Helen, age 52, owned 1810 Harcums Way value $3,500, and was living with one of her sons(Walter Cichowski, age 15), and one son (Andrew, age 13) and one daughter (Gertrude, age 11) from John's previous marriage to Marcella. John immigrated in 1895 and Helen immigrated in 1903. John was working as a hooker in steel mill. ~~Do not have information about John's second wife other than first name is Helen and she was born in 1878.
~~Notes from Louise Broniecki-Murphy in February 2007: When John and Marciana died, the house on Holt Street was given to their daughter Sophia who was married to Frank Kocinski. Sophia and Frank were living in the house before her parents died. In 1955 Louise's parent Stephen and Helen bought the house. When Stephen Broniecki died in 1978, Louise and her husband inherited the house. Louise and her husband sold the house in 2007.
