~1890 Detroit, Michigan Directory shows Otto Brandtner living at 532 McDougall Avenue working as a fitter.
~1910 CENSUS: Otto and family living at 707 Parker Avenue. Otto J listed at 50, married at age 18, working as a laborer in Enterprise Factory (second word is hard to read), immigrated in 1880, born in German as were both of his parents. Wife, Anna E, age 43, married at 18, had 5 children and 3 living, born in German as were her parents. Children: daughter Elsie E age 16 born in Michigan working as a cigar maker in cigar factory; son, Max F age 12 born in Michigan; and son Otto F age 9 born in Michigan. ~1920 CENSUS: Otto BRANDTNER owned a home at 837 Holcomb Avenue. Otto, age 61, immigrated in 1880, naturalized in 1917, born in East Prussia, Ostpreben, working as filer in aluminum casting factory. Wife, Anna age 51, immigrated in 1891, naturalized in 1917, born in West Prussia. Sons: Max age 22, working as trimmer in auto body company. Otto age 19 working as lineman for electric company. Census Details: Michigan, Wayne County, Detroit, Enumeration District 595, Sheet 9A, Lines 17-20.
~1930 CENSUS: Otto BRANDTNER owned a home at 3841 Holcomb Avenue valued at $7,000. Otto, age 75, married at age 32, immigrated in 1878, born in Germany as were both his parents. Wife, Anna age 64, married at age 21, immigrated in 1878, born in Germany as were both her parents. Son, Max age 32, divorced, working as mechanist in bearing factory and Otto's grandson (Max's son) was Harold, age 10. Census Details: Michigan, Wayne County, City of Detroit, 19(pt)/Precinct 13, Enumeration District 82-673, Sheet 11B, Lines 54-57.
