Maiden name is Brink, when remarried became McBride ======= Obituary Death of Mrs. Bounds. Died, April 20, 1895, in Lyone, Lion county, Oregon, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. T. Zumwalt, Mrs. Martha A Bounds, aged 76 years; 11 months and 15 days. Mrs. Bounds was one of the pioneers oming to Oregon in 1847 with her first husband, Thomas McBride. They removed from Missouri and crossed the plains with oxen, enduring the hardship incident to such a journey. Her first husband was drowned at Oregon City in 1848, leaving her with two sons and four daughters. Her second husband, John B. Bounds, died in 1873. She was a devout member of the Christian church and died with a hope of a blessed immortality.
