I have traced my own FRAY line back to 1579, and have been trying to follow other lines down from that date. In addition I am researching Sir John Fray, who was Chief Baron of the Exchequer in 1436. I now have over 600 hundred references to him, if I include the Close, Fine and Patent Rolls. He had daughters and no sons, but it is possible that I might be related to the Stafford line. I note that several families trace their families back to these daughters. His wife Agnes (nee Danvers)was previously married to John Baldington, and I note that some families are related to daughters from that marriage. Agnes married twice more after Sir John Fray died in 1461, but had no further children. John is buried in St Bartholomew-the-Less, in London. His tomb is about the only item left after the church was rebuilt. One can just identify part of his seal thenk

He gave land to Eton and Kings College Cambridge and wrote the charter for Kings College, which I have been permitted to photograph.
There is much, much more !!!!!
