My Paternal lines run from North California in present times, back through southern California, through Arizona and New Mexico and back to Mexico, as near as I can tell. The ancestors of Lazara Jaramillo have been settled in the area of New Mexico since as early as 1651--along many branches.

My Maternal lines run from North California and Oklahoma in present times, back through Oklahoma, Missouri, Tennessee, Maryland, Virginia, . . . , back to England on several branches. The Burgesses, Chews, Fowlers, and Bransons seem have been prominent families of their time. Branson, MO is named for this line, and the Burgesses and Chews were involved with the House of Burgesses. Anne Arundel County, Maryland was settled and shaped by these families. Annapolis was first mapped by one of my great-great-...-grandfathers. Konkle's book, "Benjamin Chew" states that two great-...-aunts on the chew side went with George Washington when he had his famous portrait painted (the portrait on the one dollar bill) so that he wouldn't get bored. According to this source, they also had a portrait of all of them done.

The earliest indirect ancestor that I have traced is Thomas Kimball, born 1370 in Suffolk, England. His great3-grand-daugther married Joseph Fowler in (probably) the 1650's. Joseph's brother Thomas is my great-...-grandfather. I have extensive information on this family tree because my girlfriend is also apparently descended from a brother of Joseph and Thomas!

My sources include the following books:

Benjamin Chew.
.....Konkle. 1967
Sapulpa OK 74006 Vol.2.
.....The Sapulpa Historical Society. 1981
Sidelights on Maryland History.
.....Mrs. Hester (Dorsey) Richardson. 1867-
Founders of Anne Arundel and Howard Counties.
.....Joshua Dorsey Warfield. 1967

I have also found the disks included with FTM 4.0 Deluxe to be quite useful, although I haven't found time to verify the information as most people do not include references and sources with their family trees.

Please feel free to e-mail me concerning any of these family histories. I will try to help with any information that I may have, and would greatly appreciate any information that you may have. Thank you
