John Earl Franklin Funeral services for Earl Franklin, 54 years old resident of Silverton died on Tuesday, June 11, at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Parkersburg, following a two weeks illness were held Thursday afternoon at the Palmer Funeral Home in Ravenswood. Rev. C. E. Ruble, pastor of the Silverton U. B. church, officiated. Interment was in the Ravenswood Cemetery. Mr. Franklin was born at Silverton on Aug. 20, 1888, and lived his entire life in that community. He was a son of Monroe and Maria Templeton Franklin. On April 7, 1920 he was united in marriage to Hazel Suck, who survives. Beside his wife the deceased is survived by three daughters, Jessie, Bessie and Carol Franklin, and five sons, Lawrence, Gail, Clarence, Glen and Charles, all at home; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Wagner (Waggner), of North Lawrence, Ohio; and two brothers.
