5. LAWRENCE KELLY2 PATRICK (WILLIAM K. 1) was born Oct-05-1827 in Indiana, and died Nov-03-1911 in Hazel Dell. Illinois. He married MARY ELIZABETH KELLY Apr-22-1855, daughter of John Kelly and Celina White.

Notes
The 1880 census record of the state of Ill. shows Hiram Damon, age 12, a servant living in the home Of Lawrence Patrick.

Obituary From News Paper
Lawrence K. Patrick, born in Indiana Oct. 5, 1827, died in Hazel Dell, Illinios on Nov. 3, 1911,age 84 years and 29 days.
He came to this state with his parents in the fall of 1852, and in April 1855 was united in marriage with Mary Elizabeth Kelly, who still survives him. The fruit of this union was five children namely: Phaloran, Robert, William, Mrs. Kizzie Carlin, and Albert. Two have preceded him in death. Robert, William and Mrs. Carlin have survived to become useful citizens of the community. His has been a long and useful existence, and with the wife of his youth they enjoyed better than 56 years of wedded life, and bereaved wife with her two
sons, one daughter, nineteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren are left to mourn the kindly spirit that has gone before.
Lawrence K. Patrick was looked upon as one of the community's best citizens. He was universally respected and esteemed for his upright principles and unwavering integrity and his life has been a commendable example for succeding generations.
He was ill several weeks before death came to his relief and with it all he suffered intensely, which he bore with patience and fortitude, saying " the Lord's will be done." The funeral services took place from Bethel church Sunday, Nov. 5th, at 2;00 p.m., interment was made in Old cemetry.
