Notes for WILLIAM MCAFEE: CNIDR Isearch-cgi 1.20.06 (File: 45) ========================================================================= Date: Tue, 26 Dec 2000 23:29:39 -0800 From: Robert Temples <templesd@ix.netcom.com> To: MCAFEE-L@rootsweb.com Message-Id: <200012270729.eBR7Tdi29660@cgi.rootsweb.com> Subject: [McAFEE] Early McAfees to America Posted on: MCAFEE Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/surnames/m/c/MCAFEE/queries/35 Surname: McAfee, McMichael, Durham ------------------------- In 1729, these families susposedly sail on the George and Ann sailing from Longford County, Kingdom of Ireland on Friday May 9, 1729. The ship came to Dublin May 12th to pick up passengers then sail to America on the 20th. Disease aboard the trip killed about half the passengers before arriving in New England in October of that year. Mr. Charles Clinton kept accounts of the trip and listed those that pass on during the trip, but we have not located a list of passengers initially aboard the ill fated trip. It is our undrestanding that these families were aboard this ship or the Elizabeth And Ann both arriving in October of 1729. We have a William McAfee born 1725 believed to have been aboard on this trip. Any and all help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. |
