Timothy Soper---Served in American Revolution three tours of duty, 1778 as a substitute, helped build Ft Montgomery. A substitute at West Point---1779, helped stretch chain across river to keep British from coming up river. Volunteered 1781, fought battles against British Tories under General Butler and fought Indians at Stone Rabby on Mohawk River.
"Lived Duchess County, New Your where I was born, moved to Coxsockie, New York and from there to Saratoga, New York to town of Pharsalier, Chenango County, New York and then to Pitcher, Chenango County, New York" as told by Timothy Soper on his American Revolution Pension application.
