Gertrude "Gertie" Anna Congdon (daughter of Congdon and Mary "Minnie" Hannah Anderson) was born Oct 29, 1898 in Paris Station, Oneida, NY, and died Aft. Oct 2, 1956. She married Clyde Dillman on Jul 4 in Oneida Castle by Rev. Dr. Swinnertore, son of J. C. Dillman.
Notes for Gertrude "Gertie" Anna Congdon: From a newspaper clipping: "Mrs. Minnie Orcutt, 1911 Whitesboro, announces the engagement of her daughter, Miss Gertrude Congdon, to Clyde Dillman, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Dillman of Oneida. The wedding will take place in the near future."
A card reads:
"1911 Whitesboro St., Utica, New York Dear Folks, We are to be married July 4th, 2 P.M. at Oneida Castle by the Rev. Dr. Swinnertore(sp?), after a wedding trip, will be living on Church Street, Durhamville in our own little place. Wig is to stand up us and his brother. We will be glad to have you call on us some time. 'Gertie'
A photo of a cemetery plot show a large double-wide modern stone "Dillman" with two foot stones. The photo has had written words "Clyde & Gertie". Next plot is Helmer in the picture. It likely means mean they both died before 1960 (while Ether was alive).
She married after 1930. 1930 Census shows her as single still.
