Notes for Loew ben Benjamin: A letter of protection for Loew dated 2 Feb 1668 was found by Wollmershaeuser in the Staatsarchiv Ludwigsburg, B 287 Bueschel 37; he is mentioned in the annual accounts of Neckarulm beginning in 1676 as produced by Wollmershaeuser. According to pages found in archive of Berthold Rosenthal, supplied to me by Alex Calzerath) this Loew may also have been known as Abraham Loew and was settled in Weingarten before 1699, having rights to trade in Baden Durlach.
