In 1865 or 1866, they bought two hundred acres in Washington Township and an adjoining 80 acres Sylvania Township. A part of this property is now Franklin Park Mall in Toledo, Ohio. All property was listed in Esther Armstrongs name. In the 1870 census it shows that Esther had real estate valued at 12 thousand dollars and personal property valued at one thousand dollars.
