The French/Henning Family Tree

This "Family Page Website" began on March 14, 1965, when Navy Seaman Roscoe French from Vestal, New York, married Janis Henning, a stenographer, from West Allis, Wisconsin. Thirty-six years later, they are still married, the proud parents of daughter Kelly and son Michael and currently enjoying retirement. Ziggy - aka Ron or Ziggy - retired in July of 1999 as a Captain of Police after serving 27 years as a West Allis Police Officer. Janis's boss for 24 years - Dr. Richard Rappl -also decided to retire, putting her into an early retirement also. Together we have been enjoying this less hectic lifestyle greatly - especially when it includes visiting our daughter Kelly and her husband Chris in Ohio. We also love spending time with granddaughter Samantha who's 11 and grandson Jacob who is 7. Our son Michael loves to travel and visit with family too. Over the past 35 years, we've traveled around the United States often to visit Ron's brothers and sisters and their families. These trips included several French family reunions over the past 15 years - one held here in West Allis in 1995 - the others in Syracuse, New York; Wilson, North Carolina; and one in Phoenix Arizona. The Henning side of the family is now small - only Janis's brother Bud Henning (Ralph, Jr.) remains, but we have wonderful memories of many years with my parents - Ralph & Audrey Henning. So many are gone now - including Ron's parents, Marguerite & Rocky French - but we now look forward to enjoying our time with Kelly and Mike and their families now and in the future. We hope with this Family Tree we will help to preserve our family names, accomplishments and memories so that the next generations will be able to become famliar with their relatives who live now as well as those who are now part of the past.

I dedicate this French/Henning Family Tree Website to my parents, Ralph & Audrey Henning. We will continue to miss them both dearly every day of our lives, but they will always remain part of our lives because they live in our hearts and in our memories. May this website help to preserve those memories and encourage the creation of many more wonderful family moments.
