My Frech Genealogy Home PageUpdated April 7, 2003 | I am reasearching the Frech family from Germany.This family immigrated to the United States in the mid-1800's and settled in the Cincinnati, Ohio region.John Frech (b. abt 1863)moved to Alanta, GA around 1900.His brother, Henry Frech, lived with his family.Henry Frech owned a Pharmacy/Drug Store in Savannah, GA around 1920. John Wendel Frech was the son of John Frech and Maria Elizabeth Wendel and married Carolina Embshoff (b. 1864) in Cinn., OH.Their children were:Stella, George, Carl, Howard, John, and Ruth Frech. Carolina Embshoff was the daughter of George Embshoff and Caroline Huxoll.Her siblings were:Sophia, Naomi, Ann, and George Embshoff. Also researching our German ancestry: Dunkes family from Hanover, Germany.Frank Dunkes lived in Baltimore, MD and married Mary Unknown.His children were:Margaret, Frank, and Michael Dunkes (b. 1855).Sometimes listed in census as Dugas and Dimkes.Michael Dunkes married Louisa Unknown and had children:Francis (Frank), Michael, George, Cresentisa/Crasanca, John, William, Anna, Louise.Cresentia married Fredrick William Storath in Baltimore, MD.Fred Storath was the son of Adolph Storath and Mary Krebs.Mary Krebs was the dau. of Conrad Krebs and Amelia Theresa Schroder. Also, researching the Wegant family from Germany.John Frederick Wegant came from Germany to New York (probably).He married Harriet Jones (b. 1866 New York).Her parents were German.The family moved to Baltimore, MD around 1891-1898.He ran The Liberty Road Hotel in Arlington, West Baltimore near Park Heights Ave.If anyone has any information about this family, please email me. Also, researching the Dotson Family Line that goes back to John Dodd and the Jamestown settlement.I am a descendant of the Reuben Dotson line. Also, researching the Latham and Wheeler families from St. Mary's County, Maryland.Looking for information on Joseph Latham (b. 1832), married Mary Guy (b. 1843) , dau. of Richard Guy.Looking for information on Francis Wheeler (b. 1836) probably son of Ignatius Wheeler and Elizabeth Morgan. |
