| Here you will find the Freyder family from where it originated in Valff France, to all known Freyders in the US. Other reports included are of the Hans Heinrich Felder family from Orangeburg, SC, and an ancestor report on my son which will show my wife's and my own ancestors. If you have anything to add to this information, please do not hesitate to contact me. In 1975 when my father died at an early age, he left me with many questions on our family. This prompt a search in New Orleans which lead me to Jim Freyder in Hunstville. Thanks to Jim he and I seached France for answers. This lead to Valff in the mid 1600s and an indication that the Freyders were Germans that moved to France to keep practicing the Catholic religion during the 30 Years War. My guess would be Freiburg Germany, so the search will continue there in the mid 1600s. Mike Freyder |
