I am researching the Atkins/Bennetts family tree. My great great grandfather was William Atkins married to Mary. They had a son Henry born in Kent, England in 1828. Henry came to Australia and married twice. His second wife was Phoebe Henrietta Thomas, Higgott, Richardson. Phoebe's mother had been married twice, Thomas, Higgott. Also Phoebe had been married twice Richardson and then to Atkins. Henry and Phoebe had seven children. Their youngest Nathaneil was born in Mount Prospect. Their son Edwin was my grandfather and he married Agnes Ethel Bennett in 1917 and they had eight children. |
