I am researching the families of our grandparents:Eilert Rasmusen Friesth, b Jan 20, 1849 in Stavanger, Norway; His father , Rasmusen Friesth lived on a farm about one-half mile from Stavanger and operated a blacksmith shop and raised a big herd of sheep. Eilert Rasmusen Friesth was a sailor and he went to a private school. He sailed for America at the age of 22, on May 17, 1871. He had two sisters living when he left, Martha Larson and Mary Olson Tusted, Mary still lived on the farm. Eilert married Malinda Larson, born in Hjelmaland, Norway on Jul 4, 1852.
Lars Nilson Wogen, b Sep 17, 1865, and his parents, Niels Larson Hjelmalandsvaag Vaagen b May 18, 1836 in Norway and Margretha Larsdatter Stensland (Svensdatter) b May 31, 1842 in Norway. His ancestors, Lars Nilson Bakka, Nils Olson, Borghild Nilsdatter Steinbru, and Kari Tollefsdatter, b 1740.
Also Richard H Thompson, b 1836 in Norway and Sophia Tobina Severtson, b 1837 in Norway.
Also Keim's which we trace back to William Penn's second trip to Pennsylvania, and the Lambert's which we trace back to the Indian wars and to Nebraska pioneering days.
