09/2002-I am a descendant of Philip and Charlotte (Deborgue) Fritz. They, along with other famlies, ie., Laubachs, Coles, Hesses, and Kiles were the first settlers of Sugarloaf Twp., PA. Much research has been done on Philip's children, with the exception of George J, who migrated to Dansville Twp, Steuben Co., NY with his wife Catherine Kile circa. 1826. My research has focused on his descendants and I have prepared a narrative report entitled "Fritz Family From Pennsylvania to New York",along with a genealogical report, both of which may be found at the Columbia County Historical Society,(PA) and at the Steuben County Historian's Office (NY). Surnames of interest to me are: Aulls, Brewer, Bailey,Castle, Dewey, Fritz, Furnal, Kile, Mackley, Mohler, Mundy, Rebbans,Tanner,Thompson,Wood.
