1. ROBINSON T. (ROBERT)⁸ SAVAGE, JR. (ROBINSON T.⁷, ROBINSON⁶, ROBINSON⁵, THOMAS⁴, THOMAS³, JOHN², THOMAS¹) was born 1794 in Maryland, and died Aft. May 14, 1839 in Sang Run, Allegany Co., Maryland. He married SARAH (SALLY) GREEN FRIEND Abt. 1820 in Maryland, daughter of JOHN FRIEND and ELIZABETH WARD. She was born February 25, 1798 in Sang Run, Allegany Co., Maryland, and died December 16, 1882 in Sang Run, Allegany Co., Maryland.

1820 census: 1 male between ages 26 and 45, 1 female between ages of 26 and 45 in Robinson T. Savage household.

Robinson T. Savage and his wife, Sarah Green (Friend) Savage built their log cabin on the South side of Seng Hill. William Waller Hoye built on the West side. Source - "Indian Blood", Evelyn Guard Olsen, pg. 102.

1830 census - M19, Roll 53, Pg. 8, Dist. 1: 1 male between ages 0 and 5, 1 male between ages5 and 10, 1 male between ages 30 and 40, 1 female between ages 0 and 5, 1 female between ages 5 and 10, 1 female between ages 30 and 40 in Robinson T. Savage household.

Robinson T. Savage was appointed Justice of the Peace at Sang Run, Md. in 1836. He died in 1839 and is buried in the Sang Run cemetery near his wife, both in unmarked graves. Source - "Savage is My Name", R. Blair Savage, pg. 101

Sarah Green Friend, the widow of Robinson T. Savage, married John Simpson Friend. John and Sarah were first cousins. They had no offspring together.

Sarah Green Friend is listed in the 1850 census of Allegany County, MD taken on August 2nd. She is listed in the household of J. S. Friend on page 33A, line 5, Age 52, Female, Born in MD.

Sarah Green Friend is listed in the 1860 census of Allegany County, MD in the household of John Simpson Friend. Sarah was 63, female, born in MD.
