I am in the process of researching my ancestors. I was a Gardner and my great-grandfather was Joseph Nicolas Gardner, born in 1822 and was married to a Susan Priscilla Gardner. I am unable to determine if Joseph Nicolas's father was James Hillery or James Bridges Gardner. I'm not sure of his middle name. Joseph Nicolas was born December 6, 1822 in North Carolina and died October 30, 1889 in Bossier Parish. La. He married Susan Priscille Gardner in Decatur County, Ga. She was the daughter of Edwin Gardner and Matilda Darden. If anyone has knowledge of my great-grandfather, kindly let me know. |
