I am researching the surnames FRIEDMAN/PERESZOWSKY & FINKEL (Grodno), LECHNER & RESSLER (Gorodenka) and ZIMMER & QUICKSILVER/KVEKZELBER (Verenchenka).

The FRIEDMAN family is descended from ISRAEL MOSHE FRIEDMAN and immigrated to the United States from Grodno. According to immigration documents, the European surname may have been Pereszowsky.

The FINKEL family is descended from ELEAZOR DOVID FINKEL who immigrated to New York with his daughters, FRIEDA and FANNIE from Grodno. The European surname may have been Derektovitch (spelling uncertain).

The LECHNER family is descended from MORDECHAI LECHNER of Gorodenka. Some members of this family were furriers in NYC during the 1920's and 1930's.

The RESSLER family is descended from Leib Marrim Ressler of Gorodenka.

The ZIMMER family is descended from MARTIN ZIMMER of VERENCHANKA, BUKOVINA (modern day Ukraine).

The QUICKSILVER (Kvekzelber) family is descended from ISAAC QUICKSILVER of VERENCHANKA, BUKOVINA.

Please review the family tree and related generational reports accessed at the bottom of this page. Any additional information relative to names; cities; countries; dates of birth, death, marriage, immigration; etc. would be greatly appreciated.
