pp. 188-89 "More Marylanders to Kentucky 1778-1828" by Henry C. Peden, Jr. has both Ignatius I and Ignatius II married to a Susannah Hawkins. Both are probably not correct.

Will probated Dec 27, 1757 Charles Co., MD mentions that he had 3 wives and 21 children but names only 2 wives and 14 children. Children are assigned to wive according to Collins - see below.

"4 July 1705: inherhited Wathen’s Adventure, Charles Co., beginning at
end of first line of tract called Matthew’s Purchase; mentions east side
of road leading from Port Tobacco to Pickawaxon creek.

May 1735: was a witness in court case of Martha Matthews and William

21 March 1738: received personality in will of John Parnham (no
relationship stated)

27 Dec. 1757: will probated, naming children, dividing them amongst his three wives. Exec: wife Susannah; wit: John brookes, Ann Gilpin, Jno Turton. Susanna renounced the will and took her share by law

15 June 1758: inventory taken by John Wathen and Stephen Chandler and named next of kin: Wearing and Leonard Wathen

6 April 1761: estate was distributed by Susanna, widow of Ignatius,
giving final accounting: total £151.18.2 1/2. Sureties: John Brook and

of the American Revolution dated Nov 7, 1938: John was Sergeant,
to the Charles County Militia in Captain John Hanson's company of the 12th
Battalion in 1777

"I leave all of my property both real and personal for the use of my two youngest sons, namely Francis
Warthan and William Warthan, to be supported and educated until they are 21. And my single daughters,
namely Chgristeancy Warthan and Mary Warthan, to have the use of said estate both real and personal
during their singles lives, except they may see cause to go to the monastery and if they go there, it is my
wish for the property to remain as it do until my youngest son is 21. At which time it is to be sold and the
money equally divided among all of my children, namely, Nicholas, Ceda, Elizabeth, Janes, Athanatious
A., Christeancy, Mary, Francis and William. Lastly, I leave my son Athanatious my executor." [Unsure if
