Nicolas Marsolet was one of the first European inhabitants of Canada. He came with Champlain as a 12 year old boy in 1604, and was left in Canada to live with the Indians and learn their language, so that Champlain would have an interpreter when he returned for his next trip. I am a direct descendent (16 generations), and am interested in learning more from others researching this lineage. |
