Initially, my research was intended to investigate the heritages of both my paternal grandfather and grandmother. Little did I realize how caught up I would become in not only their lives, but other family members who suddenly appeared out of the blue! I had been unaware that my grandmother had a sister. My grandfather also had a sister. However, I was totally unprepared to find that not only did my grandfather have one sister, he had two. And 3 brothers! Consequently, my research took on a whole new meaning.

My great-grandfather, Joseph ADAMS was a Wesleyan Methodist Minister in and around County Durham and Cheshire County, England. He married Sophia Mary BLUNDELL. They had six children: John Henry, my grandfather m.Anabel EDWARDS of KS; Wesley m.Amelia Merrill of MI; Mary m.William FULTON of Scotland; Joseph, Albert and Edith. Except for Mary and possibly Edith, the boys were born in England. Family came to the US beginning 1874. (Mary was born in PA. Unable to find Edith). My grandfather & uncle Albert appear together in the 1900 census. Wesley appears in CA. Mary appears in MN. Although I am fortunate to have a little background on a couple of family members, I have a long way to go. If anyone thinks they may have information to share, please email me. I will provide more particulars that in turn, might assist you in your own research.
