I am researching Arah Ann Adcock who was born in 1848 or 1849 In Georgia. Her mother was named Lee and had three brothers; William, John A. and Asa Lee.John died and was buried in Randolph County Ga. The other two Lee brothers,Asa and William and their sister Mary A Lee moved to East Texas around 1878.Mary seems to have married a man named Taylor and moved to Houston.Asa married a Harriet Williamson.William Lee died of tetanus in Fort Worth, Texas in 1906.Annie's Father died around 1860 and her mother (who may have been named Arah, as well) married a man named Chase and moved to Georgia. She died there around 1864.Her daughters were Karen, Sarah, Mary and Arah Ann all born in Alabama. Arah was married to a man named William Weinbrenner, around 1868 and moved with the Army to Texas, Kansas and at last to the Arizona Terr. There at Camp Grant, Az she and Weinbrenner parted in 1877. She then married a man named G. Lewis, And later a man from Philadelphia, Penn. namedGeorge, Henry Goewey.Arah Ann died in Douglas Az in 1906. She is buried in El Paso, Texas.Annie had 5 children who lived:John William Weinbrenner; b. April 4, 1870, in TexasLuther Hyson Weinbrenner; b. 1872 in KansasMary S. Weinbernner b. 1876 in Arizona Emma S. Weinbrenner b. 1874 in KansasAlice May Goewey b. May 30,1878 in ArizonaI have a lot of information about J.W. Luther, and Alice.Emma married a Sedillo; in Silver City NMMary died in or around Sierra Blanca, Tex in 1922.Anyone who has information about this family, Please contact me.Many of the family members are still in West Texas and New Mexico |
