I am currently researching serveral family names. My main focus at the moment is the Zurbrugg Family in North America. While my primary goal is to gather information on the Zurbrigg family in Ontario, Canada, I am also hoping to update information we have various other branches (including the Surbooks, Subruggs, Zurbrueggs, etc.) dating back to the marriage of Gilgen Zurbrugg and Katrina Murer on 13 Dec 1613.

Descendants of this couple are known to have travelled from Canton of Bern, Switzerland to various areas of North America - including Ontario (Upper Canada), Ohio, New Jersey, Indiana, Michigan and points unknown - predominantly between 1836 and 1847, although some appear to have also come over in the early 1900's.

Other names of interest include Bowman, Merner, Trachsel, Buschlen, Kurtz, Cook, Farncombe, Good, Fulton, Ellman, Swaffield, Christmas, Hagan, and Dieter.

I am looking for any and all information on the family name to help fill some the many gaps in the family history and the family tree.
