VI. Reuben Glaze was born ca 1760 in NC, and married "Elizabeth." He
died in 1843 in Oglethorpe Co., GA. He moved to Georgia after the
division of his father's estate in 1787. On 12-17-1791 Reuben purchased
land from John Meals of Augusta, GA, for 96 pounds. This was 287 acres
located in Washington Co., GA. Also in 1791 he had purchased 100 acres
of land in Wilkes Co., GA, and sold the same to a William Graves. This
land was on Soap Creek. On 11-8-1793 Reuben and Elizabeth Glaze sold 287
acres of land to William Hamilton of Greene Co.,, GA, for 75 pounds.
Greene Co., had formerly been part of Washington Co. On 8-3-1795 sold
200 acres to David Glaze for 75 pounds. This land was surveyed by a
certain George Wealton on 7-12-1787 and was located on the waters of the

the LWT of a Thomas Cullum. Reuben also took part in the Georgia land

Orphans Court Record for 1823-32: p34, Oct 1824. Jesse Fuller aptd gdn of John Calbert Glaze, Elizabeth Cena Glaze, Joseph Green Glaze, Abner Juston Glaze and Samuel Jesse Glaze, minors. He gave his bond as gdn with Green Fuller and A G Jackson as his securities.

(NOTE: Milly was still living when Elijah wrote his will in 1824. Elijah left her share of his estate to her children and left Milly one dollar. Apparently, Jesse F was appointed guardian to administer the estate for Milly's children. This may have occurred with both Milly and her husband still living(??). This would help explain how Mary Glaze was born after Jesse F was appointed guardian for the minor children of Milly; from Ann Schmidt anna.schmidt@BigFoot.com)
