Descendants of Obadiah KING

Generation No. 1

1. OBADIAH1 KING was born 1772 in Pennsylvania, and died November 14, 1845 in Ontario, Canada. He married MARY. She was born 1771 in New York, and died October 17, 1856 in Ontario, Canada.

Notes for O
BADIAH KING:
Obadiah was one of the early pioneers of Saltfleet, Wentworth County, Ontario Canada (now Hamilton, Ontario). He settled on Concession 1, Lot 3 in that township. This land was most likely purchased from John Pettit Jr. who was granted the land by the Crown. The date that Obadiah came to this district is not recorded but as his name was on a document pertaining to the amount received from Robert Nelles, Captain of the 4th Lincoln Regiment, 15 December, 1798, it was some time before this later date.
