Baltazar Spitsnogle came to this country in 1748 landing in Philadelphia where he lived most of his life,As a member of the Phillip Boehme German Reform Church he was a old member of the congregation. The marker I am standing by is believed to be his resting place, located in the churches cemetery in the second row of markers. The last name is barely visible,as the seasons of time have weathered this ageless stone. Most of the church records were destroyed in a fire during the Revolutionary War which several battles took place in and around Whitpan,Montgomery Co,Blue Bell,Pa. just north west of Philadelphia a few miles. The dates onn this stone were approximately 1799 at time of death.Baltazar would have been abt. 18-20 years old when he arrived in this country, making his age about 70 yrs old when he past on.Church records are not readily available.
