| I am researching the McCluskey name. James McCluskey married Margaret Friel in August of 1881 in Richmond, Carleton county, New Brunswick, Canada. The couple had several children, James Jr., Fred, Mary, and John. James Jr, went on to marry Catherine Oliver in Amity, Maine. Their children were Lawrence, Paul, James and Madeline. Margaret (Friel) McCluskey died in Amity. I'm unsure whether James died in Amity or in New Brunswick. I believe James originally came from Grand Falls, but have been unable to prove that. I also believe he was born in Letterkenny, county Donegal in Ireland, again unproven. I am also researching the Friel, Oliver and Goodin lines also from New Brunswick and later Maine. |
