Descendants of Samuel Woodruff

1. SAMUEL1 WOODRUFF was born October 28, 1766 in New Jersey, and died October 12, 1844 in Fountain County, IN. He married JOHANNA POTTER April 26, 1790 in New Providence Presbyterian Chur, daughter of JOHN POTTER and BETHIA LYON.

Notes for SAMUEL WOODRUFF:
Samuel A. Woodruff decended from old New England stock, possibly Yorkshire
England, and was born in New Jersey. There he married Johanna Potter sometime
before 1786. Records indicate all the children were born in New Jersey except
Aaron. They joined the Shaker religious sect, or the "Millenium Church of
United Believers". Samuel and Joan were early brethren of Union Village in
Warren County, Ohio, 3 miles from Lebanon or Turtle Creek. They moved there
in 1805 and was a resident of West Brick House. Samuel signed a covenant in
1829.(this information was gained at Western Reserve Historical Society in
Cleveland Ohio) Samuel and Joan remained at Union Village until Joan's death
and then Samuel moved to Cain Twp, Fountain County, In with Aaron and died there
and is buried at Green Bay Cemetary.

3. iii.   AARON WOODRUFF, b. October 01, 1804, New Jersey; d. Fountain County, IN.
