       Child of EVA WOODRUFF is:

i.   LUCILLE5 ROANE.

8. ALBERT F.4 WOODRUFF (MARTIN3, MOSES2, SAMUEL1) was born June 07, 1869 in Moultrie County, IL, and died September 11, 1940 in Moultrie County, IL. He married OLIVE POTTER March 25, 1891 in Moultrie County, IL, daughter of WILLIAM POTTER and MARY HOWARD.

Notes for ALBERT F. WOODRUFF:
Albert F. Woodruff married Olive Potter in Moultrie County, IL, lived there
and raised two children--Walter Franklin, Charlotte Ferne.
The 1900 census for Moultrie County, Il shows that Albert F.-40, Olive-29,
Walter F.-8 and Earl--Farm Laborer in Sullivan Township-rural. They are listed
as next door to Martha J. and Alvin. Family stories indicate the house north of
Sullivan is divided so that two families can live in it.
The 1910 census shows that Albert F.-40, Olive-39, Frank W.-18, and Charlotte
F.-9 as residing at 714 S. Washington St. The 1913 phone book also gives this
address.
The 1920 census does show Albert F. in Moultrie County, IL. The family
moved to Missouri(as per family stories) sometime when Charlotte Fern was
small. The house they lived in burnt but we have no record of when this was
for sure. At least Walter F. was back by 1916 because he was married to his
second wife in Vigo County, IN. The 1921 Sullivan phone book lists Albert F.
as residence(town). 1933- 1934 lists 714 S. Washington St. as his address.
1937, 1938, 1939 lists his residence as farm. These are the years that it is
believed that Walter F., Etta and their children lived on the farm.
The platt books show that Albert F. owned the land that Martha J. owned just
north of Sullivan, IL. When he died in 1940, there was no land listed on his
inventory of his estate. The total value of the estate was $665 and after the
claims were paid the estate was deficient $62.45. H.M. Myers(brother-in-law)
was the administrator for the estate and was bonded for $1000.
Albert F. Woodruff is buried at Greenhill Cemetary with his wife.

Notes for OLIVE POTTER:
After Albert F. Woodruffs death, Olive remained in Sullivan because her two
children, parents and two sisters resided in Sullivan.
I've lost track of where she lived exactly because census records for this
time period are not available. The 1949, 1950, and 1951 phone book lists her
address as 304 S. Washington. This is believed to be the same house that
Albert F. died in because the city of Sullivan redid the house numbers
sometime in this time period.
Olive Woodruff died in 1952 while visiting her daughter, Fern Moss, in Paris,
IL. She is buried at Greenhill Cemetary with her husband.

Children of ALBERT WOODRUFF and OLIVE POTTER are:

i.   WALTER FRANKLIN5 WOODRUFF, b. February 27, 1892, Moultrie County, IL; d. May 18, 1942, Moultrie County, IL; m. (1) IRMA DAVIS, 1909; m. (2) ETTA SMITH, March 03, 1916, Vigo County, IN.

Notes for WALTER FRANKLIN WOODRUFF:
Walter Franklin Woodruff was married to Erma Davis in 1909 and divorced in
1915. There are no records of this marriage or of where they lived. The only
thing that exists of this union is a picture of the two and on the picture,
Emma Woodruff had written, Walter F. and his first wife. Also, on his
application for marriage to Etta Smith, the marriage was recognized as being
dissolved by divorce in 1915.
Walter Franklin Woodruff married Etta Smith in 1916 in Vigo County, IN.
They had seven children. Doris Evelyn died as an infant and they raised the
other children in Sullivan.
The 1920 census shows that Frank Woodruff-28, Etta-30, Ellet-9, Doris-2 and
Katherine-8 months old live in Sullivan Township, Moultrie County, IL. This
is believed to be on the Roy Kinsel farm because this is where Katherine(per
family story) was born. Sometime shortly after this, the family moved to
Waterloo, IA, where Doris Evelyn died and Margaret was born. Martha J.(Franks
Grandmother) obituary reports that Frank lives in Waterloo at the time of her
death in July, 1924. Charlotte was born in Moultrie County in December, 1924.
Walter Franklin was a brakeman for the railroad and his job transferred him.
When the family returned to Moultrie County, IL, it is believed that they
lived on the farm north of Sullivan with Albert F. and Olive. Not quite sure
of the exact years because there is no census for these years.
Walter F. Woodruff died in 1942 on the farm north of Sullivan(per family
story) and is buried at Greenhill Cemetary, Moultrie County, IL with his second
wife, Etta.

ii.   CHARLOTTE FERNE WOODRUFF, b. September 21, 1900, Moultrie County, IL; d. May 29, 1975, Edgar County, IL; m. (1) D.K.(KEITH) WILLIAMS, June 25, 1925, Moultrie County, IL; m. (2) HARRY MOSS, 1948.

Notes for CHARLOTTE FERNE WOODRUFF:
Miss Ferne Woodruff is listed in the 1939 and 1940 phone book as living at
712 and 304 S. Washington. This is believed to be the same house because the
city changed house numbers sometime in this time period. The 1941, 1942, 1944
phone book lists her residence as 328 S. Washington. The 1945, 1946, 1947
book lists 304 S. Washington. In 1952 when Olive died, she was Mrs. Ferne
Moss of Paris, IL.

Ferne Moss died in 1975 in Edgar County and is buried at Greenhill Cemetary.

9. ALVIN NEWMAN4 WOODRUFF (MARTIN3, MOSES2, SAMUEL1) was born January 1875 in Moultrie County, IL, and died July 29, 1922 in Moultrie County, IL. He married ROXIE.

Children of ALVIN WOODRUFF and ROXIE are:

i.   PAUL J.5 WOODRUFF, b. July 24, 1905, Moultrie County, IL; d. August 09, 1989, Tulsa, OK.

ii.   MARTHA MILDRED WOODRUFF, b. July 05, 1908, Moultrie County, IL; d. January 27, 1920, Moultrie County, IL.
