The Gaar Family of Wisconsin Updated September 5, 2000

This page goes into the history of sevral branches of my family. Several surnames of the branches represented here are; Schactschneider, Gaar (located both in Austria and in Wisconsin), Metz, Hicks, Meilke, and more. Most of my ancestors hailed from either Austria or Germany, but there were also some who came from Ireland and Wales. Now that I have interviewed the majority of my living relatives, I am in the verification and further research stage of my exploration. Any tips, advice or leads that you can provide would be welcome! When I get married, I plan to add my fiance's family to my tree as well. Those surnames include; Martin, Weed, Kalmbach, Weisedeppe, and others.
