The Gabler Family of Georgetown, TX

I am just getting started. Mom's done a great deal of work for the first few generations. And a cousin is working hard on the Cudebak line.

My primary interests at this time are the Gabler and Rothchild lines.

Francis Joseph Gabler immigrated about 1831 from Berlin. His brother Ernest started the Gabler Piano Co. in New York City while Francis Joseph (also known by John) moved on to Mississippi and owned a plantation.

The Rothchild line dates back to Sir Thomas Joseph Rothchild (b. 10/8/1831,d.1884)of Liverpool, England. He settled his family on a farm near Richmond, Virginia before the Civil War and moved to Raliegh, NC about 1865.
