The Michael R Gable Family Home Page

Updated September 5, 2000

Many of the Gables in the southern part of the United States are decendants of John (or John Henry) Gable, a Swiss-German immigrant who received a land grant in 1747 in the Saxe-Gotha Township (now Lexington County) of South Carolina. I believe that my family decended from John Gable, although I have been unable to make a direct connection at this point in time. I have traced my family back to the mid 1800s, at which time they dwelt in the Blount Co. and Cullman Co. area of Alabama. Many members of the family remain in that area to this day. This homepage is the culmination of my efforts thus far. If you have any information which may be of assistance or if any information on my page is helpful to you, please e-mail me.
