I am researching the GAFFKE family. August Julius John Gaffke came to America in 1873 from Pommern. His mother was Johanna (STACH) Gaffke who remained in Pommern. Brother was Herman who went to California, sisters Caroline ISELER and Wilhelmina SINGSTOCK of Port Hope and Augusta WOITHA of Detroit. Also, I am researching the LITHERLAND/LEATHERLAND/LEITHERLAND family. I have traced George, James and John back to Kentucky in the late 1700's. They moved to Perry County, Indiana and then George moved on to Wabash County, Illinois in the very early 1800's.
Thirdly, I am researching the SCHUBRING family who came to America from Wurchow, Pommern in 1873. Parents were Ferdinand and Christina (Jahnke) Schubring; children were August, Ferdinand, Frederick, Albert (who moved to Wisconsin) and sister Emily (Schubring) PLEITZ.
Any information will be appreciated. I am willing to share the information I have.
