The John E. Onken Family of North East Iowa

My research begins. I am currently researching the family of
John E. Onken, one of 13 children. Our family is originally
from Germany and that is about all I know. John was born in
Iowa on November 11,1917 and died April 22,1997. He married
Vera E. Medlin in Iowa and they produced two sons David Onken and
Dennis R. Onken. They Produced five children between the two
and I am one of Dennis Onkens'. I must start from scratch so to
speak so if anyone has any information regarding this families
