"The McClaugherty family of TX"

Our branch of the McClaugherty family came to TX in 1850 to settle in Seguin, Guadalupe Co. where James Herkes served in county government, he was a lawyer in Virginia, married with a family before his move, as is discribed in the "James McClaugherty book of 1966, in most liberies.
We have a covered dish meal at our family reunion every year in San Antonio, TX at Brackenridge Park. Joskie Pavilun the first Saturday of June where we gather to exchange information, pictures, with a bulliton board schroll for all to trace thier linage.
