Have just begun researching the Galbraith family tree.

John Galbraith was born in Oban, Scotland to John Galbraith and Joan Laing. He grew up with relatives in Howmore, South Uist, Scotland. He emmigrated to Canada between 1920 and 1930.

His father John Galbraith, worked as a Farm Manager at Kilmun Farm, Lochevich, Scotland and his Mother Joan Laing was a Domestic Servant.

He indicated in a Life Insurance Policy, filled out in 1953, that he had one brother aged 36 at the time and a sister aged 34 at the time.

The policy also indicates that his father "died in action" in 1917 and his mother died "acidentally" in 1919. The sister must be a half sister through another marriage, possibly.
